
Leonardo Belgium is seeking a Web Content Management System Specialist to support a prestigious European institution in Brussels within its Corporate Learning & Development division.
You will join a multilingual and multicultural team responsible for the organization's digital learning platforms, supporting the evolution of its Learning Management Systems and preparing the next generation of its Moodle environment.
This assignment is focused primarily on Moodle platform configuration, administration and evolution, while also supporting the organization's CMS and digital learning ecosystem.
Job Specifications
Location: Brussels (1 day on-site per week)
Workload : 20 hours per week over one year (flexible)
Type of contract: Freelance (VAT-ready, or willingness to open one)
Contract Duration : Approximately 110 working days

As a Web Content Management System Specialist, you will support the Learning & Development team in maintaining and evolving its learning platforms, with a particular focus on Moodle 4.5 LTS.
A major objective of this assignment is to prepare the platform for future growth, improve its structure and scalability, and contribute to the analysis and preparation of the upcoming migration towards Moodle 5.x.
You will collaborate with Course Managers, platform administrators and IT teams to ensure the learning environment remains reliable, scalable and user-friendly.
Your main tasks will include:
Supporting the administration and configuration of the Moodle Learning Management System
Preparing the platform to support a significantly larger number of Course Managers through the creation of categories, groups, permissions and organisational structures
Analysing and configuring Moodle features to support future learning initiatives
Assessing the feasibility of integrating new functionalities, including podcast distribution within Moodle
Preparing technical analyses and recommendations for the future migration from Moodle 4.5 LTS to Moodle 5.x
Supporting the daily maintenance of training catalogues and learning content within Moodle and EU-Learn
Publishing and maintaining online learning resources, including SCORM packages, videos and multimedia content
Supporting the Learning Centre hosted on the Drupal CMS by maintaining learning-related content when required
Providing second-line functional support to Course Managers using the LMS and CMS platforms
Participating in technical coordination meetings with platform administrators and IT stakeholders
Maintaining documentation, knowledge base articles and operational procedures.
Supporting the preparation of reports and learning metrics
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the organization's digital learning platforms
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with Learning Management Systems
Proven hands-on experience administering or configuring Moodle
Experience with Content Management Systems such as Drupal or equivalent
Previous experience within Learning & Development, higher education or institutional environments is considered a strong asset
Technical Skills
Moodle (Essential): Experience configuring and administering Moodle, including user roles, groups, categories, permissions and course management.
LMS Administration: Comfortable maintaining learning catalogues, supporting Course Managers and publishing online learning content.
Platform Evolution: Familiarity with Moodle upgrades, migrations and the assessment or implementation of new platform features.
CMS: Experience with Drupal or a similar Content Management System.
Web & Digital Learning Tools: Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with SCORM packages or Articulate 360 (or equivalent).
