Network Security Consultant (H/F/X)

On behalf of eu-LISA, Leonardo Belgium (LBe) is seeking a skilled Network Security Consultant (Freelance) to play a vital role in protecting the organization's network and security infrastructure from their on-site location in Strasbourg. As a Network Security Consultant, you will be responsible for:

• Administration of Network and Security Devices: Manage and maintain firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and switches to ensure optimal performance and security

• Cryptographic Device Management: Oversee the administration of cryptographic devices to protect sensitive information

• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor IP communications services, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless connectivity

• Documentation: Draft and update technical network documentation and operational procedures to maintain clarity and compliance

• 2nd Line Support: Provide expert support in the area of IP communication services to resolve complex issues effectively

• Security Clearance: Undergo a security clearance process as part of the hiring requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar security role

• Proven work experience in network and security device administration

Technical / IT Skills

• Proficient in network and security devices (Checkpoint, Fortinet)

• Strong knowledge of cryptographic devices

• Experience with Ansible and PowerShell scripting

• Familiarity with Splunk for security monitoring and analysis

• Competence in Red Hat and Windows Server 2019 administration

• Familiarity with information security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001/22301, COBIT, NIST, OWASP TOP 10)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively

• Proficient in English (minimum B2 level); French is a plus
