About the role:
The Printer Operator is responsible for the continuous operation of the print presses, UV ovens, and related equipment, as well as maintaining production, quality, and spoilage at required levels and tolerances.
What you’ll do:
Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects
Set and adjust speed, temperature, ink flow, positions and pressure tolerances
Monitor feeding, printing and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and detect malfunctions
Complete quality checks to ensure the correct color and viscosity of the ink
Complete wash-ups between printing jobs
Adjust machines to improve print quality
Maintain production and operational records
Responsible for reporting Food Safety and Quality concerns to the Supervisor
What you’ll bring to the role:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Printing Press Operator in a commercial / manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot
Ability to distinguish between different colors
Basic English (verbal & written)
Basic Computer skills
General knowledge of pre-press activities and offset printing
Positive work history
High attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Ability to lift between 40 - 80 lbs and climb up and down stairs
Must be able to work rotating shifts
What we offer:
$33.31/hr. wage increase after training period $35.03/hr.+ Profit Share Eligibility
Shift Premiums - Afternoons $0.50/hr, Nights $1.00/hr
3 weeks' vacation per year
