Procurement Director

At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. We focus our efforts in designing an innovative, safe, silent, clean and affordable aircraft that will be able to blend into existing infrastructures and regulations to ease its deployment and maximise social acceptance.

Your role : 🔎

You will be responsible for all Procurement activities from the strategy to its implementation. You will ensure the company develops a performant supply chain and reaches its objectives in terms of cost, quality and performance. As Director, you will integrate the Executive Committee of the company and report directly to the CEO. Your interfaces will be both internal and external to drive following activities:

• Define the procurement strategy of the company & implement it

• Set up the supplier base to support the Ascendance products development & production

• Lead the whole supplier process up to the signature with the selected supplier 

• Manage the contracts

• Make sure the suppliers deliver on time, on cost, on quality

• Lead the procurement team

• Monitor the procurement objectives and closely work the Programme & Industrial functions

The job has been made for you if you  : 🛠

• You have 15 years or more of experience in procurement and supply chain in an industrial environment

• You acquired a proven experience in setting up new partnerships

• You developed good knowledge of procurement processes

• You are a good negotiator

• You demonstrated the ability to manage international team, partners and suppliers

• You experienced Aerospace standards

• You are reliable, accountable, and autonomous in setting your priorities 

• You have excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in French and English to effectively convey ideas and information to various stakeholders and teams

• You are organized, solution-oriented, easy to talk to and have the ability to coordinate projects

• You know how to have a global vision to ensure a step by step follow-up and anticipate expectations
