Production Program Manager
Responsible for the overall management of the production line for SiC space optical payloads for the Observer program, your main missions are as follows:
To develop and maintain a rolling 24-month production plan incorporating lead times for SiC blanks, polishing capacity, integration slots and optical verification constraints.
He ensures the delivery of 20 payloads per year in accordance with contractual commitments regarding cost, lead time and quality.
He leads internal production and delivery reviews, coordinates cross-functional teams (polishing, integration, metrology, quality), handles industrial contingencies (SiC scrap, optical rework, non-conformities), manages catch-up plans and acts as the main point of contact for the Observer client on all matters relating to production, deviations and performance.
This full-time position is based in our office of Aix-en-Provence.
You have a degree in optical engineering, applied physics, precision engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years’ total experience, including at least 5 years in the production or integration of space optical systems.
Strong expertise in space optical systems, SiC materials, precision polishing, metrology and the integration of telescopes/FPA.
Proven experience in managing series production programmes in the space or defence sector, with skills in industrial planning, capacity management, ERP/MES and continuous improvement.
Cross-functional leadership, rigour, end-to-end vision, customer negotiation skills and crisis management are valuable skills for this position.
