At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. Your role : 🔎


As a young company developing aeronautical products, the company is committed to reach the highest quality standards as expected from an aircraft manufacturer. 


As basement of DOA and POA, Ascendance is currently developing and deploying its Quality Management System and will apply to EN9100 certification.


Ascendance being a young company, the whole QMS framework must be defined, structured, documented and implemented. The framework scope includes Ascendance as an organization, its processes and documentation system, the quality assurance including reviews and audits, etc… What is a big challenge is also a unique opportunity to contribute to building a complete Quality Management System in a dynamic environment.


Your main responsibilities will be : 


QMS development:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Quality to elaborate the QMS Development Plan
  • Follow the progress of the QMS development plan tasks
  • Support the Head of Quality in issuing company policies, directives and manuals and contribute to their deployment
  • Be the architect of the company processes in liaison with the Head of Quality and all directorates
  • Define and deploy the materials for documenting processes, procedures and methods and support all departments in defining, documenting and implementing their own processes 
  • Develop relevant Quality trainings and tutorials as needed


Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and deploy the Quality Assurance Processes
  • Put in place basic quality assurance methods tools supporting quality reviews and audits
  • Support the Head of Quality in organizing Quality reviews
  • Develop quality requirements for suppliers
  • Perform suppliers and internal quality audits and provide reports
  • Follow-up the quality audit action tracker


DOA/POA:

  • Coordinate with the Head of Airworthiness for the QMS-related topics within DOA and POA working plans
  • Support the Head of Airworthiness in participating to meetings with Aviation Authorities, mainly EASA DOA Team and DGAC/OSAC POA Team.

Profil recherché

The job has been made for you if you : 🛠


  • You have 5-10 years of experience in a Quality Department
  • You are autonomous
  • You are able to adapt to your environment and to develop simple and efficient solutions
  • You have experience of EN9100 certification
  • You know about process architecture and already developed processes
  • You are qualified as auditor, or you are used to perform quality audits and review
  • You speak English and have good writing skills.
  • Knowing DOA and/or POA requirements would be a plus
