At Ascendance we are building tomorrow’s hybrid-electric aviation with ATEA, a unique Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) aircraft powered by STERNA, our in-house hybrid-electric propulsion system. Le poste

Your role : 🔎

You will be responsible for leading all the quality across the company. You will ensure the company reaches the quality requirements & standards to deliver its business and technical milestones. As a start-up, you will have to set up the quality function using the best practices from the industry, being agile and being constantly in line with the needs and the size of the company. As Director, you will integrate the Executive Committee of the company and report directly to the CEO. Your interfaces will be both internal and external to drive following activities:

  • Set the quality roadmap for the company

  • Develop the quality team to answer the objectives

  • Manage the Programme/Project quality, setting up the quality gates of the product development

  • Lead the quality for the certification of the aircraft (Type Certificate), the organization (DOA & POA)

  • Get the appropriate standards at the company level (EN 9100, ISO 14001, etc.)

  • Deploy the quality best practices from the industry in the team and organization

  • Ensure the supplier quality

  • Monitor the quality in the industrial premises of Ascendance

Profil recherché

The job has been made for you if you  : 🛠

  • You have 15 years or more of experience in Quality in the industry sector (aerospace, automotive, etc.)

  • You acquired a proven experience in setting up Quality standards

  • You developed good knowledge of development and industrial processes

  • You demonstrated the ability to manage international team, partners or suppliers,

  • You experienced Aerospace standards and certifications

  • You are reliable, accountable, and autonomous in setting your priorities 

  • You have excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in French and English to effectively convey ideas and information to various stakeholders and teams

  • You are organized, solution-oriented, easy to talk to and have the ability to coordinate projects

  • You know how to have a global vision to ensure a step by step follow-up and anticipate expectations
