Asygn is based in Grenoble (French Alps), designing high performance electronics for sensors and RF applications. With a team of 50 people, Asygn’s activity is backed by a high level of expertise and in-depth knowledge of high-resolution sensor interface, ultra-low power and RF design. Our team design RF and millimeter wave products for Satellite, Automotive and consumer telecommunications applications. Our expertise is in the design of analog, RF and mmW systems up to 100 GHz including IC design, package integration, antenna design, architecture and system design. We’re working with the leading companies in those domains for more than 10 years, we’ve recently delivered analog beamforming circuits for SATCOM or MIMO transceiver IC for telecommunications, for instance. We are hiring
We are seeking a highly skilled RF Test Engineer to lead the industrialization efforts for our high-performance SATCOM RFIC products. Working closely with the design team from the early stages, you will ensure design-for-testability (DFT) is integrated into our circuits. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of RF test engineering, from initial characterization to high-volume manufacturing (HVM) readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Design for Testability: Collaborate with RFIC designers to define on-chip test features, ensuring comprehensive coverage and efficient testing during characterization and production.
Characterization: Develop, document, and execute characterization plans, including measurement over temperature and across process corners.
Test Setup & Hardware: Design, debug, and maintain probe cards, load boards, and characterization PCBs, including complex RF matching networks.
Production Test Engineering: Select and manage external test vendors (OSATs), develop and debug production test programs, and optimize test time for high-volume manufacturing.
Yield Optimization: Analyze production data to identify yield bottlenecks, drive root cause analysis for failures, and implement corrective actions to ensure high manufacturing yield.
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in RF testing, specifically in taking RFIC products from design to high-volume production.
Proven track record of improving test coverage and yielding results in industrial RF manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
In-depth RF Knowledge: Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, including S-parameters, nonlinearity (IP3, P1dB, harmonics), and phase noise.
Characterization Expertise: Proficient in advanced calibration techniques (probe and fixture calibration), noise figure measurements, and temperature-dependent testing.
PCB Design: Experience with high-speed RF PCB design (Altium, Cadence, or similar) for characterization and production fixtures.
Characterization Equipment: Extensive hands-on experience with VNA, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and automated prober control.
ATE Systems: Experience in developing and debugging test programs on ATE platforms.
Soft Skills:
Team Player & Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work seamlessly with Design, Product, and Quality teams to reach common goals.
Analytical Problem-Solver: Hands-on approach to debugging and resolving complex RF issues with a focus on practical solutions.
Fully Autonomous: Highly independent in managing the end-to-end test process, from initial strategy to final validation.
Clear Communication: Able to break down complex technical RF data into simple, actionable information for any audience.
