Enchanted Tools / Changing the face of robotics
At Enchanted Tools, we believe a robot can be seriously useful and genuinely lovable. That's been our bet since 2021 — and it's starting to pay off.
We build the Mirokaï: character robots designed to work alongside teams in demanding professional environments, supporting teams in their daily work while bringing a touch of joy to the people around them. Our clients are primarily healthcare and care organizations in France and the United States.
Laureates of the French Tech 2030 program, Deeptech-certified by BPIfrance, we raised the largest seed round in the history of French robotics. Our robots have been showcased at CES Las Vegas and VivaTech — three years running. Our Urban Factory opened in Paris in late 2024.
We are now entering our industrialization and large-scale commercial phase, with a target of 100,000 robots produced over the next ten years. If you want to build something that didn't exist before, you're in the right place.
We are looking for one passionate interns to join our cutting-edge robotics team and contribute to the future of dexterous manipulation with our humanoid robots, the Mirokaï.
This internship will focus on enabling Mirokaï robots to perform advanced manipulation tasks in real-world environments. The project will involve learning from demonstration, teleoperation, data collection, and deep learning methods to allow the robots to autonomously interact with and manipulate objects.
The scope may include grasping, bimanual manipulation, deformable object manipulation, object handling, and everyday manipulation tasks such as folding fabric, moving objects, or interacting with tools and articulated objects.
You will collect datasets using teleoperation control of a Mirokaï robot, potentially through a VR-based interface, and implement learning-based methods to infer robot actions from visual, proprioceptive, and joint-state data. This project is inspired by the latest research in robotic manipulation and provides a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of embodied AI and humanoid robotics.
Your responsibilities will include
Operate the Mirokaï robots to collect datasets for dexterous manipulation tasks, including visual, proprioceptive, and joint-pose data.
Design and implement learning-from-demonstration pipelines for robotic manipulation.
Implement, test, and deploy deep learning models to enable Mirokaï robots to autonomously grasp, move, and manipulate objects.
Explore manipulation strategies for rigid and deformable objects, potentially involving one or both arms.
Evaluate learning performance on real-world manipulation tasks and refine models through iterative testing.
Integrate your solutions into our robotics and AI stack.
Pursuing a degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Python.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience or strong interest in robotics, robot learning, and deep learning.
Interest in real-world robotic manipulation, learning from demonstration, and embodied AI.
A passion for solving complex problems and building practical robotic capabilities.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Bonus qualifications
Proficiency in C++.
Experience with humanoid robots, mobile manipulators, or robot manipulation tasks.
Familiarity with robotic teleoperation, VR-based control, or imitation learning.
Experience with computer vision, visuomotor policies, reinforcement learning, or diffusion-based policies.
Interest in dexterous, bimanual, or deformable object manipulation.
This might not be the right role for you today if:
You need a very structured environment and framework.
It’s precisely because we’re not over-processed that we’ve been able to stay creative and innovative and deliver a unique prototype in just one year.
What happens once you apply?
We’re committed to getting back to you within two weeks. If the answer is no, please reach out again after gaining new professional experience.
If it’s a yes, the process begins:
A 45-minute technical interview with the manager
A final 45-minute interview with our Human Resources Team
These interviews can be conducted entirely via video call, but we warmly invite you to visit your potential future colleagues, the Mirokaï, in our Paris office!
