Job description

As a Sales & Customer Operations Intern, you will contribute to SamBoat's commercial and customer operations across different stages of the customer journey.

This is a new transversal position at SamBoat, working closely with the Sales, Customer Service and Aftersales teams. Your role will combine commercial activities aimed at converting customer requests into bookings, as well as post-payment customer support and operational assistance, particularly for charter bookings.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Following up with potential customers by phone and email to understand their needs and support them through the booking process

  • Contributing to sales conversion by following up on customer requests and identifying suitable solutions

  • Preparing commercial proposals for short and medium-term boat rentals

  • Searching for suitable boats according to customer needs, destination, budget and availability

  • Contacting boat owners and charter companies to obtain offers and negotiate commercial conditions

  • Supporting customers after payment, particularly on charter bookings, and helping with their requests before departure

  • Assisting the Customer Service, Sales and Aftersales teams with customer, commercial and operational topics when needed

  • Helping identify and contact potential partners such as supermarkets, caterers, luxury services and other businesses that could complement the boating experience

  • Contributing to other customer or commercial activities depending on the team's needs

As this is a new position, the scope may progressively evolve depending on the activity and the needs of the different teams.

Profile

We are looking for a motivated, autonomous and versatile intern who:

  • Is available for a 6-month internship

  • Is studying Business, International Trade, Tourism, Sales or a related field

  • Has already completed at least one previous internship or significant experience in Business Development

  • Is fluent in French and English, plus at least one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian or German

  • Is comfortable communicating with customers and partners by phone and email

  • Is autonomous, proactive and comfortable taking initiative within a defined framework

  • Has good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Is organized and able to manage different tasks simultaneously

  • Is comfortable looking for solutions when faced with new or unexpected situations

  • Is interested in both customer relations and commercial activities

  • Is comfortable working with digital tools

Bonus: previous experience in tourism, hospitality, marketplaces or customer service.
