Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Audio Account Manager to develop and manage key client relationships, secure and deliver audio projects, and contribute to Delta Live’s commercial success through high-quality service and delivery.

Working across the full project lifecycle, this role combines account management, business development, commercial awareness, project oversight and strong technical audio expertise. The role will work closely with clients, production teams, suppliers and internal technical departments to understand requirements, develop appropriate audio solutions, prepare quotations and oversee projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

Client & Account Management

  • Manage key client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact and developing long-term partnerships

  • Understand client requirements, budgets and technical objectives, providing appropriate audio solutions and a high level of service

  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business

  • Attend client, site and production meetings as required

  • Build strong, professional relationships across production companies, venues, agencies and corporate clients

  • Resolve client issues proactively and ensure a consistently high level of service throughout the project lifecycle

Sales & Commercial Management

  • Manage audio enquiries from initial client brief through to quotation, negotiation and confirmation

  • Prepare accurate, commercially viable quotations and technical proposals

  • Support tenders and pitches, contributing technical and commercial expertise where required

  • Monitor the sales pipeline, margins, project costs and account performance within agreed commercial parameters

  • Identify additional requirements and opportunities throughout the project and ensure these are appropriately managed

  • Contribute to the growth of assigned accounts and the development of new business opportunities

Technical Audio & Project Delivery

  • Develop practical audio solutions for live events, conferences and corporate productions, overseeing projects from quotation through to delivery

  • Translate client requirements into appropriate and achievable technical audio solutions

  • Apply strong knowledge of professional PA systems, mixing consoles, FOH and monitor systems, RF, microphones, signal distribution and digital audio networks, including Dante, AES and MADI

  • Review technical specifications, drawings and system designs, identifying potential issues and requirements

  • Work closely with technical teams to define equipment, crew and production requirements, providing informed technical input without necessarily acting as the onsite engineer

  • Coordinate and collaborate with Project Management, Audio, Warehouse, Logistics and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery

  • Monitor project progress, costs, scope changes and client requirements throughout the project

  • Ensure project variations and additional requirements are appropriately identified and managed

Project Close-Out & Client Service

  • Support post-event reviews and gather client feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Review final project costs and support accurate and timely invoicing

  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle

  • Ensure technically appropriate solutions and agreed client requirements are delivered to the expected standard

  • Contribute to client retention, repeat business and the continued development of long-term accounts

Profile

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5 years minimum experience in live events, professional audio, AV hire or technical production.

  • Proven client/account or project management experience within the sector.

  • Strong commercial awareness, including quotations, costs and margins.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

  • Able to translate client requirements into practical technical solutions.

  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, service-focused approach.

  • Right to work in the UK required

Success in the Role

  • Client retention, satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Growth of assigned accounts and new business opportunities.

  • Achievement of agreed revenue and margin targets.

  • Accurate and commercially robust quotations.

  • Successful delivery of technically appropriate projects.

  • Effective collaboration across commercial and technical teams
