At Lartisien, we curate and book the world's most exceptional hotels and bespoke travel experiences for our members. Our mission is to combine the art of hospitality with technology to deliver truly memorable journeys. We are now looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Developer (Next.js) to join our team and lead the front-end development of our digital platforms. 

As our Lead Front-End Developer, you will maintain and enhance our website, develop new features for our luxury travel platform, and drive the development of our mobile app using React Native. We are looking for someone who is passionate about clean code, performance, SEO, and user experience — a strategic thinker who also thrives on hands-on execution. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new user-facing features using Next.js and React. 

• Maintain and improve our main website, ensuring performance, SEO, speed, and accessibility best practices. 

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token. 

• Build and maintain our React Native mobile app (using Expo), aligning with our high-end brand experience. 

• Collaborate with our back-end developers, tester, and Marketing team to deliver seamless, elegant user interfaces. 

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, enforcing best practices. 

• Implement robust unit testing with Jest or equivalent frameworks. 

• Use modern CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., styled-components, Panda CSS) to create maintainable, scalable styles. 

• Work with Material UI to ensure consistent, high-quality design implementation. 

• Integrate with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful) for dynamic content management. 

• Develop and maintain end-to-end testing with Puppeteer or similar frameworks. 

• Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. 

• Take ownership of projects and deliver independently when needed. 

Must-Have Qualifications 

• 7+ years of experience as a front-end developer. 

• 3+ years of experience specifically with Next.js. 

• 4+ years of experience with React, using React Hooks exclusively (no class components). 

• 2+ years of experience with TypeScript. 

• 1+ years of experience building React Native apps with Expo. 

• Solid experience with CSS-in-JS frameworks (e.g., styled-components, Panda CSS). 

• Familiarity with Jest or other unit testing frameworks. 

• Experience with Material UI and consistent design implementation. 

• Experience using Puppeteer or similar frameworks for end-to-end testing. 

• Familiarity with headless CMS solutions (Contentful or other). 

• Strong focus on clean, maintainable code, and attention to SEO, performance, and accessibility. 

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work autonomously with minimal oversight. 

• Strong communication skills, accountability, and a proactive mindset. 

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies or requirements. 

Nice-to-Have 

Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services.
