Within our Space & New Space Business Line, you will manage the development of embedded optical payloads (including our SPEO product line) and complex Optical Ground Support Equipment (OGSE).

Reporting to the Program Directorate, you hold overall responsibility for the execution of complex space projects (flight instruments, OGSE, or sub-systems), from the kick-off phase through to final delivery and customer acceptance.

You are accountable for meeting Bertin Technologies' commitments (Cost, Schedule, Quality, Performance) and serve as the primary interface with the client. You lead a multidisciplinary project team (System Engineering, PA/QA, Procurement, AIT) in a demanding environment.

Your main responsabilities will be as follows :

Operational & Contractual Management:

  • Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and deliverables.

  • Manage contractual aspects, Contract Change Notices (CCNs), and scope changes.

Financial & Risk Management:

  • Manage the project budget (Estimate at Completion - EAC, Margin, Cash flow).

  • Proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities, adapting strategies to the project typology (Institutional Science, New Space/SPEO, or Complex OGSE).

  • Ensure regular reporting on progress to top management and the client.

Client & Partner Relations:

  • Act as the main point of contact for the client (Space Agencies, Primes, and New Space actors).

  • Negotiate technical and programmatic aspects throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage major subcontractors and industrial partners.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and coordinate the project "Core Team" (Project Manager, System Engineer, Product Assurance Manager...).

  • Coordinate technical resources in liaison with department heads.

  • Organize and steer major project reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, DRB).

Be the craftsman of your job! Your missions will evolve according to your past experiences and your future desires.

This position requires good listening and reporting skills. Your organizational skills will be a major asset, particularly during the start-up phase and in regular reporting to our customers.

Position based in: Aix-en-Provence (France - 13).
