The Tax & Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in optimizing the company's tax strategies, ensuring compliance with Senegalese tax laws and IFRS standards, and managing day-to-day financial operations. This position requires a strong understanding of the Senegalese tax environment, robust analytical skills, and experience in financial management.
This is not your typical accounting position. As the Tax & Accounting Manager, you will:
Be a Tax Strategist: Craft and execute innovative tax plans to optimize the company's financial performance. Navigate the intricacies of Senegalese tax law, ensuring compliance while proactively identifying opportunities for savings.
Lead Financial Insights: Dive deep into financial data to uncover trends and opportunities. Your analysis will inform key decisions and guide the company towards sustainable growth.
Drive Operational Excellence: Take ownership of daily financial operations, ensuring smooth cash flow, efficient payments, and strong relationships with banking partners. Your meticulous approach will optimize accounts payable and receivable processes, enhancing the company's financial health.
Champion Compliance: Be the guardian of financial integrity, establishing and upholding rigorous accounting and tax policies in alignment with IFRS and Senegalese regulations. Your diligence will ensure accurate financial reporting and seamless audits.
Master International Trade: Navigate the complexities of import/export operations, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and maximizing efficiency.
Build a High-Performing Team: Inspire and lead a team of talented accounting and finance professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that values continuous learning and growth.
Shape the Future: Contribute directly to the company's strategic vision by supporting Investment Code applications and ensuring ongoing compliance.
Academic Excellence: A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
Proven Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in a similar role, demonstrating your expertise in tax planning and optimization within the Senegalese context. Experience in the energy sector or a multinational environment is highly desirable.
Technical Mastery: A deep understanding of IFRS, Senegalese accounting and tax regulations, and proficiency with SAGE (or equivalent) accounting software are essential.
Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to guide your team, coupled with exceptional communication abilities in both French and English, are crucial.
Analytical Mindset: You possess a keen eye for detail, the ability to analyze complex financial data, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
