Reporting to his subsidirary's Deputy General Manager, the Technical Director will be in charge of ensuring the technical balance and profitability of the Life and Non-Life portfolios, ensuring the coordination and efficiency of insurance operations, overseeing product design and development, contributing to business performance, and organizing and developing the technical teams.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following key activities :

1. Ensure the technical balance and profitability of the Life and Non-Life portfolios

2. Ensure the coordination and efficiency of Life and Non-Life operations

3. Oversee the design and development of insurance products

4. Contribute to sales performance

5. Develop and enhance the skills of technical teams

Education

• Minimum of a master’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Actuarial Science, business school, or equivalent.

Experience

• At least 10 years of experience in Life and/or Property & Casualty insurance.
• Proven experience in a technical insurance role.
• Experience coordinating teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in a business transformation or new business launch environment is a plus.

Hard skills

• In-depth knowledge of life and non-life insurance products.
• Strong skills in underwriting, pricing, and claims management.
• Good understanding of actuarial principles.
• Knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework in Sierra Leone.
• Proficiency in techniques for managing technical performance.
