In this context of strong development, Smart Energies is strengthening its international team and is recruiting a Technical Manager within its Greek team based in Athens.
As a Technical Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our renewable energy assets in Greece, with a strong focus on the technical management of our solar PV parks. Your core responsibilities will include performance monitoring, technical evaluations, and reporting. You will also assess the technical integrity of PV projects under acquisition, evaluating aspects such as efficiency, compliance, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Asset Management :
Monitor the performance of PV projects and prepare regular production and performance reports ;
Optimize the technical operation of solar PV assets, taking full ownership of the OPEX budget and overall technical performance ;
Coordinate with O&M contractors and service providers to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the sites ;
Ensure full compliance of the assets with legal, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and safety regulations, and propose actionable strategies for improving compliance where necessary.
Technical Analysis :
Perform on-site inspections of new PV projects, assessing installation quality, inspecting components, and identifying faults; compile detailed site visit reports ;
Conduct yield analyses for PV assets both under construction and in operation to evaluate expected vs. actual performance ;
Review and evaluate existing technical documentation, including engineering reports, design files, and performance assessments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field ;
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong technical foundation ;
Proven experience in reviewing and managing technical and commercial contracts ;
Solid understanding of photovoltaics and electrical system design.
Proficient in PVsyst and AutoCAD ;
Strong team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment ;
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a results-oriented mindset ;
Willingness to travel for site inspections and project follow-ups as needed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel ;
Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French is a plus ;
Valid category B driving license required for site visits.
