We are METEX, the European leader in the production of bio-based functional ingredients by fermentation. We produce components that are essential to the manufacture of everyday products.

We are helping to preserve a more circular and sustainable industry by reducing the carbon footprint of everyday products and contributing to the challenges of climate change, human health and animal health and welfare.

We offer our customers local sourcing of low-carbon ingredients through our innovative natural alternatives, enabling them to meet their sustainability challenges.

 

To support our development, we are looking for a technical sales manager.

You will play a significant role in driving sales and revenue growth for our company by promoting and selling our solutions, products and technical services to prospective clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact between our organization and potential customers, understanding their needs, providing technical expertise and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.  

 

This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, sales skills, and customer centric mindset, such as reciprocal loyalty approach. 

You will work in a participative and flexible environment, using the agile methodology, which encourages exchanges and feedbacks !

 

Responsibilities 

·         Identify and qualify new business opportunities by researching and prospecting potential clients, generating leads through cold calling, networking and attending industry events

·         Managing a network of distributors.

·         Conduct thorough needs analysis and assessments to understand customer requirements and provide guidance on our products and services to address their specific needs.  

·         You will be supported by Marketing Experts to deliver tailored proposals, presentations, and solution demonstrations that align with customer needs and requirements. 

·         Present and demonstrate our solutions as a sustainable alternative to petrochemical industries, to clients, highlighting key features and benefits, and articulating how they can address customer challenges and improve their business operations. 

·         Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of sale to close deals and secure new business opportunities, while ensuring profitability and customer journey. 

·         Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting assistance, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. 

·         Achieving sales targets and performance metrics through effective pipeline management, accurate sales forecasting, and regular reporting on sales activities, opportunities, and results. 

·         Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and new technologies to anticipate customer needs and proactively identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings. 

·         Propose partnership to our customers for Innovative Co-development to be ahead the market on sustainable and local products. 

 

Your geographical scope is mostly South America, but also the Mediterranean area (Maghreb, Turkey and Greece).

Profil recherché

Required Skills 

·         Industry knowledge and understanding of animal nutrition or related industries. 

·         Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets. 

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and develop long-lasting relationships with clients. 

·         Analytical abilities in terms of market analysis and understanding, with the capacity to understand customer needs, identify solutions and recommend appropriate products or services. 

·         Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. 

·         Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. 

·         Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment. 

 

Required Qualifications 

·         Engineer and/or Commercial degrees, with min 5 years' experience 

·         Proven experience in sales development, in B2B environment, preferably in the animal nutrition or connected fields 

·         Fluent in English and Spanish 

·         Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies, including consultative selling and solution selling approaches 

·         Proficiency in using reporting tools as PowerBI, Microsoft Office Suite and able to drive sales well structured, with a project management approach 

·         Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events 

 

Salary package:

Home office – (4 days / month in Paris head office)
