Job description

The Role

The Traffic Acquisition Manager holds a pivotal role within SamBoat's marketing team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This role is accountable for leading and executing paid media campaigns, with a primary focus on platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing), Meta, Affiliation, and more.

Your Responsibilities:

Paid Media Campaigns:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive paid media campaigns to drive traffic, user acquisition, lead generation and top-line revenue (Gross Merchandise Value - GMV).

  • Manage budgets and campaigns, optimise structure, ads, bidding strategies, and continuously analyse campaign performance to maximise ROI.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure cohesive and effective campaign strategies and tactics.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in paid media in particular and digital marketing in general.

Collaboration and Strategy:

  • Work closely with other marketing team members to align paid media efforts with overall marketing strategies.

  • Collaborate with specialised agencies to leverage their expertise in specific areas of paid media.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, content, and tech teams.

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Use analytics tools and dashboards to track, measure, and report on the performance of paid media campaigns.

  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to optimise campaigns and achieve marketing and business goals.

  • Champion a data-driven decision-making process within the team and contribute to overall marketing strategy.

Budget Management:

  • Take ownership of budget allocation for paid media campaigns, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.

  • Implement cost-effective strategies to achieve maximum impact and results.

Profile

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in managing and optimising international paid media campaigns, with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience.

  • Expertise in platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing), Meta, Affiliation, and other relevant paid media channels, and having managed multimillion-Euro budgets 

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external agencies.

  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills, especially French and Spanish, are advantageous.

  • Familiarity with the boating and travel sectors is a plus.
