Novelty Middle East is looking for a VWX Designer/Drafter to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for exhibition, live event and scenography projects. Working closely with project managers, designers and technical teams, you will transform project concepts into detailed technical documentation while ensuring compliance with project specifications, technical requirements and Novelty's quality standards.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposing general layouts based on the specifications or client requirements
Producing technical, coordination and layout drawings using Vectorworks
Preparing drawings and diagrams using the associated bill of materials
Preparing calculation notes and technical feasibility studies
Implementing layout revisions in coordination with the Account Manager
Creating visual scenography renderings to support Account Managers during the sales process
Creating and updating technical project files
Contributing to the onboarding and training of new team members within the Design Office by sharing your experience and technical expertise
Preparing files for manufacturing and/or on-site execution
Supporting project follow-up and technical adjustments
Conducting graphic and iconographic research
Creating and laying out presentation materials
Producing various technical drawings
Producing elevations and 3D drawings
Applying basic load calculation principles
Producing drawings, sketches and technical materials for operational teams
REQUIRED PROFILE
You have completed a two-year technical qualification in Industrial Drafting, Architecture, or a related field. You also have previous experience in a similar role, enabling you to work confidently in a technical and project-based environment.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Hard skills :
Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks 2D/3D, including advanced layer management.
Strong working knowledge of SketchUp and Vectorworks.
Good knowledge of Depence is essential, particularly for 3D visualisation and project previsualisation.
Solid understanding of the equipment and materials used in the exhibition, live events, staging, scenography, and museum sectors.
Good knowledge of the technical requirements and constraints specific to these industries.
Fluent English is mandatory (written and spoken).
French language skills are a strong advantage.
